The Ghost of Darkness
The ghostly cloud of blackness,
Exhaled from a thousand miles below,
Devastating in its embrace,
It devours civilizations galore,
The sapphire pool of life,
Drowned and replaced with death.
With eyes that are blind,
And hands that are tied,
The pallbearers of our liberty,
Wage a war on an invisible enemy.
This ghostly cloud of darkness,
Rises like smoke from a volcano,
As we bathe in nonchalance,
And dance every night in apathy,
The world below our own,
Drowns in a deathly pool of shadows.
Exhaled from a thousand miles below,
Devastating in its embrace,
It devours civilizations galore,
The sapphire pool of life,
Drowned and replaced with death.
With eyes that are blind,
And hands that are tied,
The pallbearers of our liberty,
Wage a war on an invisible enemy.
This ghostly cloud of darkness,
Rises like smoke from a volcano,
As we bathe in nonchalance,
And dance every night in apathy,
The world below our own,
Drowns in a deathly pool of shadows.
