The Departed Glance

As you stare blankly,
Into the vacant eyes of the one,
Who you love and the one who loved you.
You search for a buoy floating,
In the infinite ocean in her eyes.
Words said fall on deaf ears,
Like the dying pleads of the nameless,
Filthy beggar on a crowded street.
As you cry tears acidic,
Which trickle down in searing rivers,
You wish to melt frozen hearts of the one,
Who you love and the one who loved you.

The still-departing glance withdraws,
Like the last breath of the dying one,
Like the dessicated corpse in the grave,
Showered with grayish brown lumps of stone,
Sweat and Toil,
Rocks and black soil,
She drowns inside a concrete grave.

And as she ceases to stare blankly,
An apparition turns and walks away,
The dilapidated walls of my heart,
Finally crumble and wash away,
For the one I loved can't love me back,
Anymore....
